Job Title: Group Financial Accountant

Location: Remote working in either Manchester or Newcastle

Salary: Competitive (depending on experience)

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join our client at their head office in Carlisle. As an industry leader in the fashion sector, we are recruiting a Group Financial Accountant to join the finance team.

The role of Business Reporting Accountant will sit within a busy finance department, reporting to the Group Financial Director.

Ideal candidates should have experience in a similar role, handling high volumes, working under pressure both independently and as part of a team, with high accuracy and organized approach.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Preparation of consolidated group management accounts, budgets, and forecasts.
• Preparation of management accounts, budgets, and forecasts for all non-trading companies, including holding companies, with associated working papers.
• Review of subsidiary management accounts, budgets, and forecasts for consistency and accuracy.
• Preparation of statutory accounts for all companies within deadlines.
• Cash flow reporting.
• Submission of weekly bank facilities report.
• Leading external audits for interim and year-end.
• Developing reporting systems based on business needs.
• Liaising with other group finance staff and supporting operational functions.
• Supporting FD in corporate matters such as acquisitions or restructuring.

Previous Experience:

• Fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA accountant.
• Experience in group consolidations and financial modeling.
• Knowledge of FRS 102 and relevant accounting standards.
• Experience producing detailed cash flow forecasts.
• Involvement in annual audits for a group of companies.
• Knowledge of UK tax compliance rules.
• Working knowledge of multi-currency groups.
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
