Solar Roofer – Overview

Low Carbon Recruitment Ltd is currently working with an established renewable energy company seeking a permanent Roofer to carry out Solar PV installations in the Wolverhampton and West Midlands area.

The company has been established for over 15 years, specializing in the installation of renewable energy systems in domestic and light commercial properties. They are experiencing a period of growth, having doubled in turnover over the past 5 years. Currently, they have a turnover of £100m and complete 400 solar installations per month, employing approximately 300 staff in the UK.

In this role, you will work in a two-person team alongside an experienced Electrician, installing Solar PV systems on private domestic and social housing properties within Wolverhampton and West Midlands. Your responsibilities include installing and fixing the panels and running the cables, with the Electrician wiring and commissioning the system. Most systems range from 6-14 panels, with some including a battery storage system.

The company has over 10 years of experience installing PV systems and employs 50+ crews nationwide. They strive to make each installation as straightforward as possible for their engineers. All sites are technically surveyed before installation, and scaffolding and infrastructure are prepared prior to the team\’s arrival.
