The Corporate Accounting Analyst is responsible for the financial reporting for designated entities of the Corporate North business and certain holding entities within other Group businesses. To timeously and accurately process financial information, reconcile all balance sheet and general ledger accounts, and ensure statutory returns are processed promptly.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Perform accounting activities and provide financial support to the Corporate North business.
  • Prepare and input monthly results to HFM for designated Corporate and business HFM entities.
  • Input forecasts and budgets into HFM for designated Corporate and business HFM entities.
  • Prepare templates and statutory note disclosures for the Consolidated Corporate Business.
  • Conduct variance analysis for the Consolidated Corporate Business through investigation and stakeholder engagement.
  • Liaise with external auditors to respond to queries regarding the Consolidated Corporate results.
  • Collaborate with London Treasury to ensure transactions are correctly accounted for and presented in the Corporate North results.
  • Support the Corporate North Manager in overseeing Group step plans (dividends, funding, restructuring) impacting London entities, and monitor payments in conjunction with Treasury.
  • Assist the Corporate North team in monitoring financial transactions and reporting activities for compliance with Group and statutory requirements.
  • Support wider Group Finance queries related to SAP and Ariba systems.
  • Reconcile loan accounts and intercompany balances with relevant finance teams.
  • Coordinate with branch finance teams in Chile, Australia, and other small branches to complete reporting tasks.
  • Review statutory accounts and liaise with the shared service centre responsible for draft accounts, including responding to external auditors and tax firms queries.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of commercial and technical accounting issues, with a good understanding of accounting standards.
  • Financial systems such as SAP, HFM-Hyperion, and FDMEE (advantageous).
  • Preparation or review of UK financial accounts.
  • Teamwork and target delivery experience.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Advanced Excel skills and computer literacy.

Ability to:

  • Utilize data sources for analysis and management reporting.
  • Apply relevant accounting principles, IFRS, policies, and processes.
  • Understand the fundamental principles of effective financial systems.
