We are currently seeking an experienced Bobcat Operator for an assignment with a local government department located in Ipswich. This is a great opportunity to get a foot in the door with a very stable employer of choice in the Ipswich region. The role will start as casual labour hire but there will likely be opportunities to apply for full time positions in the near future.
About the role
This is a workplace focused on safety, training and team culture. You’ll perform tasks such as:
- Operate skid steer (Bobcat) machinery for asphalt site prep and clean-up
- Perform pre-start checks and basic maintenance on machinery
- Assist with general site duties as needed
- Work closely with the crew and site supervisors to deliver top results
- Maintain a strong focus on safety and efficiency
Key skills
- Experience operating Bobcat/skid steer machinery (asphalt or civil preferred)
- White Card (Construction Induction)
- Current driver’s license and reliable transport
- Own workwear (including long work clothes, Hi-Vis Shirt or Vest, Steel Cap Boots)
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and teamwork
- Positive attitude and attention to detail
The casual hourly rate is between $48.16-$51.09 dependent on experience. Rostered 6:15am to 3:15pm working a 9 day working fortnight.
If successful, you will be required to pass a medical assessment before performing any work within the role.
