Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming and operating CNC machinery to produce high-quality parts and components. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical processes, CAD software, and the ability to work with precision tools. The CNC Programmer will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient production while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Duties

• Develop and modify CNC programmes based on engineering drawings and specifications.
• Operate CNC milling machines and other related equipment to fabricate parts.
• Conduct regular inspections of machinery to ensure optimal performance.
• Utilise CAD software, such as SolidWorks, for designing and modifying parts.
• Collaborate with engineers and other team members to troubleshoot issues and improve processes.
• Maintain accurate records of production data and machine settings.
• Perform basic maths calculations for measurements and adjustments.
• Working as part of a small team it is essential to be self motivated with a flexible approach.
• You will be required to set and operate Mazak CNC machines producing components to tight tolerances.

Experience

• At least 3 years experience in a Manufacturing Engineering Environment.
• Ability to use manual lathes and milling machines.
• Ability to program set and operate CNC Lathes and Milling Machines including set up of tooling.
• Able to read and interpret Engineering drawings and work orders accurately.
• Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
• The ability to thrive in a small business environment – willing to get stuck into tasks.
• You will also take responsibility for keeping your own workspace clean and tidy.
• Inspection of parts using micrometers, verniers and gauges.
• Knowledge of Quailty and Safety standards, procedures and regulations.
