Job Title: Counter Fraud Handler

Location: Swansea (Hybrid: 3 days in office, 2 days home working)

About the Role:

Are you a driven and detail-oriented professional with a background in motor claims? We have exciting opportunities for Counter Fraud Handlers to join a leading specialist motor insurer in Swansea. In this role, you’ll work closely with a Claims Validation Unit Team Leader, investigating and resolving fraud claims while maintaining control of investigation and litigation costs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough investigations into fraud claims to achieve optimum outcomes.
  • Control investigation and litigation costs effectively.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to identify fraud indicators and trends.
  • Ensure compliance with pre and post-litigation procedures, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a motor claims department, ideally with recent exposure to Personal Injury (PI), Credit Hire, or Fraud.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills with a logical and clear approach.
  • Commercial awareness to understand how internal and external factors affect business operations.
  • Knowledge of fraud indicators and experience with compliance and regulatory requirements.
