Thanks to continued growth, our US & Canada Healthcare team is looking for someone with previous Healthcare or North American experience to join in an Underwriting capacity.
Our team of 13 underwriters offers two packaged policy solutions for both traditional healthcare and digital healthcare industries. At CFC, we are continuously innovating, and this rings true with our Healthcare team, who are constantly ensuring that our tailored policies address the bespoke exposures healthcare providers face in the digital world. This presents a new opportunity for an ambitious professional excited about joining a fast-growing, innovative organization.
As an Underwriter on our Healthcare team, you will work closely with the Healthcare Team Leader on all aspects of underwriting, including new business and renewal underwriting, responding to broker queries, and driving business development. You will consider liability for both traditional and digital healthcare providers from a holistic perspective by underwriting multiple classes of insurance, and contribute to wider team projects. You will play a key role in developing new business opportunities and building strong broker relationships to drive profitable Healthcare business. International travel may be required to support this.
- Respond to and manage broker enquiries promptly and professionally, producing quotations within SLAs and authority limits;
- Develop and pursue new business opportunities through broker relations;
- Support creation of bespoke endorsements;
- Maintain and produce underwriting reports as needed;
- Explain features, benefits, and coverage of Healthcare insurance products, including eHealth, and support product launches;
- Deliver presentations on CFC products, trends, and exposures;
- Research and develop expertise in Healthcare classes, including relevant legislation and regulation in target territories;
- Contribute to team performance and targets.
We seek driven, self-starting individuals with a strong work ethic, keen to develop their skills. You should have 2-4 years of experience in underwriting or broking, with a background or interest in healthcare or medical malpractice products. Experience in or knowledge of the North American market is highly desirable.
You will need to work efficiently under pressure, develop relationships with stakeholders, and be sales and service-oriented, confident, and personable. Analytical skills, attention to detail, and quick decision-making are essential. Given the emerging digital healthcare sector, technical proficiency and industry awareness are important.
