About the Role
As a Senior Project Coordinator - Central and Eastern Europe at the Thomson Reuters Foundation, you will:
- Support the effective delivery of the Foundation’s portfolio in Central and Eastern Europe, ensuring coherence of the portfolio timelines, coordination of the projects’ activities and tasks, contributing to better projects alignment with the TRF strategies and plans.
- Provide direct support to project managers in setting up and managing vendors/consultants, conducting procurement as per policy, booking logistics and conducting project financial administration.
- Support the Senior Project Manager and Project Managers in identifying potential and emerging risks and issues which could impact the successful delivery of the portfolio and/or individual projects. Escalate critical concerns and contribute to the development of mitigation strategies.
- Monitor portfolio deliverables, perform collection of information and data for MEAL purposes.
- Contribute to the implementation of quality control processes as needed and share best practices within the team.
- Contribute to budget oversight through monitoring of project expenses and tracking budget allocations as necessary.
- Collaborate with finance teams to ensure financial compliance.
- Maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including various teams inside TRF, external partner organisations and experts, as agreed.
- Cooperate closely with project coordinators in the Central and Eastern Europe team, covering them if required.
- Contribute to narrative and financial reporting for the portfolio projects.
- Keep documentation in order and well recorded.
- Generate regular status updates on the delivery of the portfolio for the Senior Project Manager and Project Managers.
- Provide ad hoc project coordination support for projects outside of the Central and Eastern Europe portfolio as and when required, if capacity allows.
About You
To be our Senior Project Coordinator - Central and Eastern Europe, you will likely have:
- Experience in a relevant role for complex donor-funded projects.
- Experience in narrative and financial reporting.
- Experience of working in/contextual understanding of the Central and Eastern Europe region.
- Experience in/understanding of the Caucasus and/or Central Asia regions is an asset.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to work with changing priorities and time pressures, practical knowledge of project cycle management.
- Excellent financial management skills, great attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to establish and maintain working relationships both internally and externally.
- Good understanding of stakeholder management.
- Fluency in English.
- Proficiency in other language(s) relevant to the Central and Eastern Europe, Caucasus such as Russian, Belarusian, Georgian, Romanian or Ukrainian, is an asset.
- Competency in Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook.
- Experience with databases (Salesforce) and CRMs would be an advantage.
