Due to the ongoing expansion of the Construction Department, Blackpool and The Fylde College (B&FC) is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Resource Assistant to support our growing team. This vital role focuses on maintaining and managing equipment and resources within the curriculum area, contributing to a high-quality learning environment for students and supporting the continued success of our department in delivering outstanding education in construction trades and skills.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Maintaining equipment and resources to ensure they are in optimal working order and efficiency.
- Managing and organising stock, including receiving, checking, and storing materials and equipment.
- Preparing materials and equipment for teaching sessions to support effective learning.
- Providing practical assistance to students during workshops, guided by lecturers and specialist practitioners.
- Supporting the security and cleanliness of equipment and learning spaces, emphasising Health and Safety practices.
As the largest provider of construction skills in Lancashire, our department offers a comprehensive range of programs, from traditional trades to higher education pathways leading to careers in architecture, surveying, and project management. With strong ties to local employers, we design programs to meet industry needs, contributing to over 6,000 individuals gaining employment in construction.
