Job summary

Senior Children\’s Residential Support Worker role providing high-quality care and support to young people in a small group home setting. This is a full-time position with a 1 day on / 2 days off pattern and sleep nights; service operates 365 days a year with rotas provided in advance.

Hours and Pay

Hours: full time, 1 day on 2 days off (with sleep nights). Rotas provided in advance. Pay rate: £12.95 to £14.00 per hour (days, depending on qualification). £60 per sleep night (equates to approximately £32,644 to £34,824 per annum). Overtime opportunities at enhanced rates.

What we are looking for

We are seeking nurturing and supportive people who can provide outstanding childcare and help young people achieve positive outcomes. Our Stoke-on-Trent home is a small group home for three young people on therapeutic placements, offering a homely setting. Staff support young people with domestic needs, education, socialisation skills, learning activities, and group outings.

Essential requirements

  • A minimum of 12 months experience in a children\’s residential care home
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare
  • In-depth knowledge of Ofsted regulations, expectations and best practice
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Right to work in the UK with no restrictions
  • Values aligned with Esland\’s therapeutic, person-centred approach to childcare
  • Age 21 or above (as required by industry regulations)
