Interpath Advisory is seeking a highly skilled Director of Financial Modelling to lead our financial modelling practice and contribute to our Data & Technology consulting capabilities. In this role, you will be instrumental in providing innovative financial modelling solutions to a variety of clients, encompassing project work from strategy through to execution. You will develop advanced modelling frameworks and data analytics that facilitate concise decision-making for our clients while managing and mentoring a talented team of financial analysts.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep technical understanding of financial modelling, combined with strong commercial acumen, enabling them to articulate complex financial concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:- Leading and managing a diverse portfolio of financial modelling projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables that meet client expectations.
- Developing innovative financial models across various domains, including valuation, forecasting, budgeting, scenario analysis, and capital structure optimization.
- Overseeing the development and enhancement of modelling best practices, methodologies, and standards to ensure consistency and reliability.
- Mentoring and training junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Engaging directly with clients to understand their strategic objectives and deliver tailored financial solutions that support their business needs.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams within Interpath to leverage modelling insights in broader consulting engagements.
- Driving market engagement and business development efforts to grow the financial modelling practice.
At least 10 years of experience in financial modelling within a consultancy environment or finance function.
A recognised finance or accounting qualification (ACA/CIMA/CFA or similar).
A first-class or upper second-class degree in a relevant subject such as Finance, Economics, or Mathematics.
Extensive experience in building and reviewing complex financial models in Excel.
Strong understanding of financial analysis, valuation techniques, and corporate finance principles.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously while maintaining a high level of quality and detail.
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
Proven leadership skills in guiding and developing teams.
Familiarity with data analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization software.
Experience in client engagement and business development activities.
