Fixed term (Secondment Opportunity) – Practice Education Coordinator – Placement and Student Support Team
Trustwide – Band: 6 (£37,338 – £44,962) per annum
Hours: 18.75hrs per week, Base: HPFT Learning Disabilities Service, Essex

The post holder will support placement areas to provide an excellent learning experience for learners on placements within HPFT. This role involves providing knowledge, advice, and information related to Practice Education & Learning throughout the Trust, ensuring quality learning experiences in practice.
You will support students in their clinical practice areas to ensure they receive outstanding clinical placement experiences. You will work with clinical staff at all levels, enabling them to provide support and guidance to students.

- Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of NMC ‘Standards to Support Learning & Assessment in Practice’ ensuring HPFT compliance with the NMC.
- Support the delivery of high-quality practice placements for all non-medical students and learners.
- Facilitate the mandatory Practice Assessor and Practice Supervisor Workshops.
- Support the planning and coordination of educational audits to ensure educational standards are maintained and met.
- Engage in the development and support of pre-registered educational learning experiences within HPFT.
- Support the Preceptorship programme & Return to Practice Module for nurses.
- Develop good working relationships with all HPFT staff, service users, and external organizations such as HEIs & the Health Education East of England, communicating regularly and efficiently as the practice education representative.
