The Economic Growth Assistant will be responsible for supporting the team to deliver a variety of exciting economic development initiatives, via a range of administrative, marketing, and project driven duties. This will include taking the lead in developing content for the team’s websites and social media channels; promoting the town to businesses, residents, and the tourism market.

Reporting to the Principal Economic Growth Officer, the successful candidate will be part of the Economic Growth Team that is responsible for growing the economy of Hartlepool by assisting businesses to start up and grow and through targeted economic growth projects.

Ideally suited for a recent graduate or an individual looking for an entry-level role in economic development, the post offers the successful candidate excellent opportunities to develop their skills and experience in business, marketing, and project delivery.

The successful candidate must be self-motivated and have the ability to work under pressure and within tight timescales. You will also possess good interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to develop long term relationships with colleagues and external contacts.
