A new and exciting opportunity to assist a global Automotive brand in the implementation of a critical project to deliver the next generation of Electric Vehicle - BEV EV Connected Services.
Ideally a commercially astute business manager with experience of managing projects, involvement in tenders, strong communication and presentation skills, and ideally direct experience of connected services and automotive. The role holder will need to blend their skills in project management, sales/business development, product management, into a cohesive strategy that can deliver our clients ambitious targets in this area.
Experience required:
- Knowledge of the Automotive industry
- Product knowledge of the EV market and Connected Services
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Self-starter, able to understand business priorities and take action accordingly in a timely manner, with little supervision
- Project management skills, including experience of successfully delivering digital projects on time and on budget
- Confident in research, and able to select appropriate methods to fill gaps in consumer and competitor knowledge
- Good working knowledge of Digital Marketing / customer communication strategy
- Tender processes and supplier management
Distributor Project:
- Take a lead role to prepare for distributor markets, working closely with the companies Distributor team, and the distributors themselves:
- Feature list / scope confirmation for each market
- Distributor contract adjustment
- Distributor customer 1st line support management
- Subscription management / payment process / VAT registration
eMSP Project:
- Take a lead role working with suppliers to deliver plug and charge capability and other eMSP functionality
- eMSP supplier selection and contracting
- Product owner for white label app implementation
- Business case and commercial proposal
- Functionality to include payment by phone and charging station information via API with a supplier
Project management:
- Development of clear business requirements
- Support colleagues and suppliers in achieving efficient and effective solutions to requirements
- Involve and gain support of stakeholders around the business, including senior management, Customer Division (Aftersales), Branches (regional office in each market), and colleagues in the New Business Department
- Oversee the delivery of project milestones, ensuring deadlines are met and that the project stays on track
- Proactively identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and keep stakeholders informed of any potential issues
- Work with systems ISD to manage the project budget, ensuring that it stays within scope and identifying any cost overruns early
- Address and resolve any roadblocks or conflicts that arise within the project
- Support regional User Acceptance Testing
Supplier & contract management:
- Support the management of the suppliers responsible for developing eMSP services, provision of data, or other related connected services.
