A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a motivated Cardiology Cath Lab Nurse to join a highly reputable private hospital based in Bristol. The hospital is the largest modern private healthcare provider in the South West. This role involves providing planned care for patients both pre and post cardiac catheter lab procedures. The team is passionate about person-centred care, putting patients at the heart of everything they do. The hospital boasts 5 well-equipped modern operating theatres and an Intensive Care Unit.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Provide care for patients both pre and post cardiac catheter lab procedures
- Participate in the pre-assessment of all cath lab patients
- Develop practice in assessment of health and wellbeing needs
- Provide and receive complex, sensitive, or contentious information
- Develop and improve services and quality
- Lead others in the development of knowledge, ideas, and work practice within cardiology
- Plan, monitor, and quality assure the application of technology for measurement, monitoring, and treatment
Who we’re looking for:
- Be NMC registered with no restrictions or conditions on your pin
- Eligibility to live and work in the UK without sponsorship
- Minimum of 1 year experience in the UK in a cath lab as a nurse
- Cardiology experience highly desirable
- Experience in circulating and scrubbing for various cardiac cath lab procedures
- Competence across a range of nursing skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Professional assessment skills
