The role involves managing a caseload of military personal injury matters under supervision. This position is suitable for professionals with 3 to 5 years’ PQE, preferably with experience in military claims. The military claim types will include defective equipment, training injuries, cold injuries, assaults, discrimination, AFCS claims and noise induced hearing loss claims. Hybrid working will be considered. The successful applicant will be organised and methodical. Accuracy and attention to detail are essential, as is the ability to work quickly and efficiently to ensure deadlines are met and our excellent client care standards are maintained. You will also be friendly, professional and able to explain technical legal detail with clear and confident communication, both verbally and in writing. KEY TASKS Running a case load of client matters under supervision. Dealing with matters at all stages, from taking the client’s initial instructions through to archiving, in accordance with office and accounts procedures. Obtaining and preparing file documentation. Billing files and obtaining monies due to the firm from the clients and other parties. Dealing with client enquiries Providing support to other fee earners in the PI department. KEY SKILLS – ESSENTIAL Professional and friendly client care. Ability to work accurately in accordance with procedures and processes. Ability to deal with technical details and to express solutions to complex legal problems in a concise and customer-friendly way. Ability to present and argue a case orally and in writing. Ability to learn quickly. Ability to organise and prioritise work, under supervision, to meet clients’ expectations and matter deadlines. Ability to work under pressure.
