HVAP Critical Engineering Manager – Mayfair – £60,000

Location: Fitzrovia

Salary: £60,000 + Plenty of Overtime

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8AM – 5PM

An excellent opportunity has arisen with one of our clients seeking an M&E Manager to oversee a critical commercial building in Fitzrovia. You will lead a team of multi-skilled engineers, ensuring contractual obligations are met, providing technical support and mentoring. HV AP qualification is required.

The successful candidate will support the Key Account Manager with daily tasks, demonstrating reliability, flexibility, and professionalism. You will also assist Contract Managers and Support in managing proactive and reactive tasks.

Applicants should have a technical M&E background and experience managing a maintenance engineering team on-site. The company offers a competitive salary/package of £60,000, along with further training and career progression.

Key Duties include:

• Ensuring statutory testing is completed, logged, and updated in Logbooks.
• Monitoring and controlling PPM and reactive statistics via eLogbook, producing reports.
• Producing monthly reports and meeting minutes with action follow-ups.
• Generating energy reports for clients.
• Ensuring statutory certifications are up-to-date and available.
• Attending scheduled meetings.
• Managing staff training using the Training Matrix.
• Conducting monthly QHSE site audits.
• Producing quotations.
• Managing the team per procedures, ensuring wellbeing and H&S compliance.
• Overseeing repair of M&E equipment and services.
• Prioritising reactive maintenance, delegating tasks to ensure service levels.
• Controlling the Weekly Engineering Planner and communicating staffing issues.
• Monitoring subcontractor contracts and performance.
• Managing Help Desk systems and ensuring SLA compliance.
• Monitoring utility usage and reporting abnormalities or savings.
• Managing critical infrastructure and maintaining the risk register.
• Ensuring maintenance of critical equipment in line with requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• City & Guilds Parts 1 & 2 Electrical installation or equivalent
• Electrical (BS7671 18th Edition)
• Electrical (C&G2391 Inspection and Testing)
• C&G Mechanical & HVAC
• HVAP Qualification
• Knowledge of current standards for Fire Alarm Systems, Generators, COSHH, Electrical Services, HV & AC, Water Systems Treatment
• Understanding of business-critical services like UPS and MGPS
• Full knowledge of Statutory Compliance
