Are you a skilled CNC Setter within a manufacturing environment? Come be a part of this global manufacturing company at its market leading Hydraulic Valve Systems Europe division (HVSE). Be a part of this expansive site as it implements future technology within valve products in both new creation and improvements on original technology across large international customers.
As a CNC Setter at its HVSE hub, you will focus on developing hydraulic cartridge valves and keeping to safety standards while setting and operating a Sliding Head CNC Machine. Responsibility will be yours for keeping to quality standards for valve components made for a large variety of international projects.
Responsibilities of the role:- Machine Setup and Operation: Set up sliding head CNC machines using tooling and setup sheets to machine components to specified tolerances and within set times.
- Follow Health & Safety and 5S Standards: Ensure compliance with EHS guidelines, maintain and improve 5S workplace organization and lean standards.
- Tool Maintenance: Use change inserts, drills, and other tooling as needed, and suggest alternative tooling solutions when appropriate.
- Inspection and Quality Control: Conduct dimensional inspections using appropriate equipment and accurately record output and scrap.
- Work Order Compliance: Follow works orders and complete tasks in line with the machine system.
- Previous CNC machine setting experience and the ability to set up and operate CNC turning machines independently.
- Ability to keep to tight tolerances while reviewing engineering drawings and keeping to specifications.
- Strong quality and safety awareness - act independently in performing quality checks, keep to safety procedures, and take responsibility for machine condition and output.
- Sliding Head CNC machine previous experience is a strong advantage but not essential, as training can be provided.
- Experience with Fanuc systems or similar CNC controls would be advantageous.
