Press Brake Supervisor
Perm, Days, £16p/hr to £17.50p/hr DOE, Mon-Fri, 40hrs per week
DEWSBURY
I am looking for experienced CNC Press Brake Operator with Supervisory or Team Leading experience to work for one of my Dewsbury based Engineering clients, on the Day shift.
Reporting into the Production Manager, you will be tasked with Supervising a small team of 3 Press Brake Operators, ensuring all Production needs and tasks are completed to order and on time. This will be a role where you will be a working Supervisor, sometimes having to be on the tools yourself and helping out with the machining duties. Day to day duties will involve:
-Ensuring Production needs are met
-Running a Bystronic Press Brake
-Conduct regular performance reviews and provide any ongoing training required
-Organise daily work schedules for Press Brake operations
-Quality Control
-Address any quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions
-Ensure all safety protocols are followed
-Maintain a clean and organised work environment to prevent accidents
-Any other adhoc duties as required
You will ideally have a minimum of 5 years previous Press Brake experience and held a Team Leading or Supervisory position for at least 1 year. Other key skills include:
-Experience of Bystronic controls is essential
-Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CNC programmes
-Understanding of lean manufacturing principles
-Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
-Strong leadership and communication abilities
-CNC Laser experience/knowledge would be advantageous
-C/B FLT License would be beneficial
You will be required to work a core of 40hrs per week, 8am to 4.30pm from Monday to Friday, although some flexibility in this will be required. The role is advertised as Permanent and with a starting Pay Rate between £16p/hr to £17.50p/hr Depending on experience. There is onsite parking and an onsite gym, available to all staff.
