An exciting opportunity has become available for a Paralegal to join our expanding Contentious Trusts & Probate team. Previous experience of working within this area of law would be advantageous but not essential. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to specialise in contentious probate having had experience of working within a law firm and wishes to work for a well-established and highly regarded law firm.

With direct supervision from senior members you will have the opportunity to have hands on training from experienced Solicitors with the long term view of being able to become self sufficient and run your own cases. The successful applicant will assist the senior Solicitors on their cases including some very complex matters, carrying out duties such as:

  • Attending client meetings and taking accurate notes
  • Drafting correspondence and legal documents
  • Drafting instructions to Counsel
  • Communications with the client, opponents, counsel and experts

Additionally, you will also be expected to attend suitable networking and marketing events both internally and externally to promote the team, firm and yourself with the aim of winning work and making new contacts.

Whilst the role will be based at our head office in Walsall, you will need to travel to our other offices in Sutton and Cannock from time to time to meet client needs. This is a full time, permanent role with our office hours being Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm taking 1 hour for lunch.
