We are looking for a Technical Solution Consultant, Pre-Sales to join our EMEA team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Solution Consulting, the Technical Solution Consultant is responsible for delivering pre-sales services to customers of our Library and Research Analytics products. Working closely with management and sales teams, you will be responsible for the support of our sales efforts. This is an amazing opportunity for someone to help deliver the value of the whole firm to our customers by providing specialized consulting activities for pre-sales to gain new business, win market share and increase customer satisfaction. About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in technical pre-sales/solution consulting positions.
- Fluency in English and French required.
- It would be great if you also had:
- Fluency in an additional European language.
- Experience with MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Experience with data management.
- Prior experience working within scientific publishing or research would be a plus.
What will you be doing in this role?
- Developing and delivering targeted sales presentations for new prospects.
- Building relevant sales and customer education materials.
- Collaborating with sales colleagues to carefully plan and act according to their commercial strategy.
- Working cross-functionally with internal teams such as product development, as well as technical support and marketing teams.
- Scheduling, promoting, and delivering business presentations to professionals and end-user classes for libraries, faculty and researchers at academic, government, non-profit, and corporate research institutions in Spain, Italy and other European countries if necessary.
- Creating materials working with Team Lead to reproduce local language versions of key product educational materials to support key products in the Library and Research Analytics market.
- Delivering web-based business presentations (via Teams, WebEx etc.).
- Scripting and recording online tutorials.
- Situational sales support & workshop management & delivery of materials & presentations.
- Partnering with the manager of the Marketing team and sales Account Managers to identify new sales opportunities.
- Cultivating relationships with customers and training partners at major research universities, government agencies, and corporations.
- Developing and adhering to project plans and schedules.
About the Team:
The role reports to the Senior Manager, Solution Consulting. You will join an EMEA team of Business operations experts that support the Academic & Government business collaborating with all org functions, such as: Product, Global Sales & Marketing, through our management team. This is an international team based in Europe and supporting the overall EMEA organization. Collaboration and sharing information among the team members is a key value that we foster, as providing global feedback to regional teams is a fundamental aspect in this matrixed organization.
Hours of Work:
This is a full-time permanent position based in the UK and will require hybrid working from our London office on Liverpool Street (2-3 days per week in office, rest of week remote). This position involves high travel (20%-40%).
