Role: Capability Manager - Salesforce - FTC 12 months

Job Summary

To support the strategic goals of AVEVA, the role of Capability Manager – Salesforce, in Global Business Operations is tasked with supporting the Group Senior Capability Owners - Salesforce, in driving the Lead to Contract Journey by ensuring that Strategic Platform changes which support our Global Sales Organisation are understood and adopted Globally. This role will provide dedicated support to the Group Senior Capability Owners in delivering World Class Platform Capabilities for AVEVA and ensuring that the platforms support AVEVA Sales Policies and Processes. This role reports into the Director – Capability Management who in turn reports to the VP Business Operations - Commercial Platforms and Process.

Key responsibilities

  • Dedicated focus on supporting the Group Senior Capability Owners in the delivery and adoption of World Class Platform Capabilities which fully underpin AVEVA Sales Policies and Processes.
  • Supports the implementation of Platform Developments that enhance the Lead to Contract Journey and heighten Business Productivity and Proficiency.
  • Data Analysis and understanding of resulting ‘Value Add’.
  • Supports the Senior Capability Owners to clearly articulate and communicate Business Impacts to the Sales Leadership.
  • Works with AVEVA Sales Operations and Sales Enablement teams with prioritisation of understanding the necessary developments required to underpin and enable the Global Sales Organisation.
  • Communicates feedback and insights from Commercial, Sales Operations and Sales Enablement teams to the Senior Capability Owners and Group Process Owners to drive Continuous Improvement.
  • Contributes to the development of business requirements definition and feeds into the Salesforce Platform Development Roadmap.
  • Sets clear expectations for the delivery of new platform capabilities with Key Business Stakeholders.
  • Responsible for UAT to ensure that Platform Enhancements are delivered to the optimum level and works with IT to deliver this.
  • Works with Senior Capability Owners to provide Systems Reporting Capability that meet Business Stakeholder requirements, allowing for the effective management of Business Outcomes.
  • A key contributor to understanding evolving Salesforce Platform Enhancements, researching related Emerging Technologies and developing resulting Business Cases for AVEVA.

Skills, know-how and experience:

  • Customer and Business Focused platform experience with a deep understanding of E2E Policies and Processes required to support a Global Sales Organisation.
  • Understanding of B2B sales policies within a major sales organisation.
  • Experienced in Platform Development and Implementation of tools that enhance the Lead to Contract processes.
  • A clear understanding and ability to define the drivers and requirements needed including an understanding of ‘what best practice looks like’ ideally anchored in Salesforce and related technologies.
  • Demonstrates a sound understanding and experience of commercial management including vendor management, internal business cases and managing operational requirements.
  • Change and communications management – understanding and ability to assess the change impacts of Platform Enhancements with sales and associated downstream business owners.
  • Ability to work with cross functional groups and be able to communicate clearly and concisely impacts in business terms across multi-disciplined teams.
  • Operates comfortably at a detailed as well as a strategic level.

Technical / professional qualifications

  • Degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or Equivalent Professional Experience.
