Prospero Teaching is currently seeking Tutors to join our hard-working team to deliver Maths GCSE to students between the ages of 11-18 on a 1:1 basis.
This online tutor role is perfect for someone looking to step away from the classroom and make a difference to the lives of disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners. We are looking for a tutor who holds experience in delivering maths lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4.
At Prospero Teaching, it is our mission to raise the standard of educational support offered to vulnerable young people in the UK. We are looking for Maths tutors who are eager to work with children and young people with a variety of learning needs with a creative, flexible and holistic approach to raise attainment and drastically improve the outlook of their educational journey.
The successful Maths tutor will have outstanding teaching skills both in the classroom and when delivering innovative and engaging online learning and a passion for helping students from a range of backgrounds to develop their Maths skills.

Experience, Training and Qualifications of the 1:1 Maths Tutor:
- QTS or equivalent
- A minimum of 1 year UK classroom experience
- Be confident teaching GCSE classes online
- Provide a firm but fair approach
- Have recent safeguarding training or willing to undergo Prospero's course
To be eligible for this role, the potential 1:1 Maths Tutor must:
- Hold the right to work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child-related references.
