North Scout are hiring on behalf of a fast-growing SaaS company in Edinburgh who are helping global tech giants integrate products into new environments faster – reducing complexity and seriously speeding up time-to-market. They’ve grown to ~50 people, secured fresh funding, and now need a Marketing Manager to take the lead on all things messaging, content and strategy – their first proper Marketing hire.

This is a rare opportunity. You’ll have a blank canvas to build the marketing function from the ground up. You’ll shape the narrative, define how the product is positioned, and create the kind of content that gets noticed by some of the biggest names in tech.

You’ll be marketing to senior decision-makers at companies like Google, IBM, Oracle – so this isn’t fluffy lead-gen. It’s thoughtful, precise, credible B2B marketing that speaks to complex, technical audiences.

It’s an individual contributor role to start with, but there’s scope to build a team as the business grows. You’ll be working closely with the founders, product, and commercial leads – with a direct line to strategy.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Developing the company’s core messaging and value propositions
  • Creating a full range of content – whitepapers, case studies, sales decks, documentation, video scripts, blogs
  • Running direct outreach and supporting demand generation activity
  • Aligning with product and sales to sharpen GTM strategy
  • Spotting opportunities in the US market (with occasional travel if you fancy it)
  • Reporting on marketing performance and shaping what success looks like
What You’ll Bring
  • Proven experience marketing SaaS products to large technology companies
  • Confidence in developing technical B2B messaging – you can speak the language of engineers and decision-makers alike
  • Strong written communication and content creation skills
  • A balance of creative flair and analytical thinking
  • Start-up or scale-up mentality – you’re happy to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in
What’s On Offer
  • Salary up to £60,000
  • Share options – you’ll have a stake in where this goes
  • Private medical cover
  • Remote-first culture, but ideally within reach of Edinburgh (they’ve got a modern office and like to use it)
  • Clear progression path to Head of Marketing
  • The chance to market something genuinely useful to some of the world’s biggest tech players

If you’re ready to build a Marketing function from scratch in a high-growth, well-backed SaaS business – and you know how to cut through with technical audiences – we’d love to chat.
