Our client is a chemicals company based out of Sandycroft, Flintshire. They are seeking a full-time Production Operator to join their team. The role will entail working on a compressed and liquefied gas production facility, where you will report to the department team leader and operations manager. The role will involve working in several departments including cylinder filling, cylinder servicing and cylinder refurbishment.
Role Requirements
- Experience in a production/manufacturing environment advantageous, but not essential
- FLT licence advantageous, but not essential, training provided as required
- Conscientious person who takes pride in their work
- Ability to work well within a team as well as individually
- Good level of fitness, with ability to lift loads of 25kg
- Good communication skills
- Good numeracy skills
- GCSEs in English and Mathematics
Role Responsibilities
- Operation of filling system
- Use of computer for data input and logging
- Safe movement and storage of cylinders
- Forklift truck movement of pallets
- Inventory checking
- Final packaging and quality control checks
- Good housekeeping/Cleaning of work area
- Use of shotblast machine
- Painting of cylinders/drums
- De-valving, inspecting and re-valving cylinders
- And any other duties required by the business
