An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Claydon High School as a Design Technology Technician, working within a strong and supportive team. The post will involve preparing and maintaining resources for teaching staff within the DT teaching team. Other duties will include technical assistance in class when required.

You should be a confident and committed individual with good communication skills. You will have some relevant background experience in an educational setting. It would be desirable if you are able to provide some administrative support to departmental staff and are able to start at 8.30am to prepare resources prior to lessons beginning.

Claydon High School is a popular, oversubscribed and friendly comprehensive school on the outskirts of Ipswich; we are situated close to the A14 with easy transport links across Suffolk and into Essex. We are a small school with 773 students on roll which means that there is a close working relationship with all the staff and students in the school. As part of the Penrose Learning Trust we also work closely with other schools within the MAT to achieve excellence through collaboration.

Interview date: Week commencing 7 July 2025.
