Job Summary The successful candidate will need experience working as a technician or technical supervisor in a data centre. They should have experience managing specialist contractors in data centre operational environments. A solid technical understanding of electrical, mechanical, Life Safety, and security systems is essential, along with familiarity with Permit-To-Work safe systems. The candidate should also demonstrate a good working knowledge of Health & Safety in the workplace. Applicants are expected to be self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing high work volumes effectively and safely. Responsibilities: Review and approve change control documentation. Support internal and customer health & safety audits. Assist with customer visits and audits as required. Address reactive break-fix works when infrastructure equipment fails. Ensure safety in all work activities across the facility. Participate in operational planning meetings with maintenance providers. Organize and lead health & safety meetings with onsite operational teams. Address health and safety observations raised by customers, contractors, or staff. Support end-of-life infrastructure project works. Source technical data for reporting purposes. Promote the onsite Zero Waste To Landfill initiative. Review and optimize operational parameters using the BMS. Report accidents and incidents via the Colt DCS platform. Support operational incident resolution, possibly outside normal hours. Assist in renewing operational, security, health, safety, and environmental accreditations. Drive continuous improvement in operational management. Support initiatives aligned with our ESG strategy focusing on decarbonization and safety. Skills & Experience: Experience as a technician or supervisor in a data centre. Experience managing specialist contractors. Strong technical knowledge of electrical, mechanical, Life Safety, and security systems. Familiarity with Permit-To-Work systems. Good knowledge of workplace Health & Safety. Ability to handle high work volumes safely and effectively. Qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (e.g., City & Guilds, ONC, HNC, degree) or equivalent experience. Knowledge of electrical safe systems of work, permit issuance, and ideally, certification as an Authorised Person (AP5 or AP15).
