We are seeking an enthusiastic community Occupational Therapy Assistant Practitioner to join our motivated team of Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, and Assistant Practitioners in the Southern Older People/Physical Disabilities Team. Our team values good listening skills, flexibility, adaptability, and a commitment to supporting independence. We are experienced in working with complex cases and are knowledgeable about the Care Act (2014), Mental Capacity Act (2005), and Safeguarding. We offer support for professional development through supervision, training, and peer support.
The role involves undertaking preventative, functional assessments based on people\’s occupational performance, via video, telephone, or face-to-face interactions. Excellent communication, record-keeping, and keyboard skills are essential, along with experience working with vulnerable individuals and a commitment to customer service.

We are looking to appoint either a Supported Assistant Practitioner (Scale F) or an experienced Assistant Practitioner (Scale G). Supported Assistant Practitioners will undergo a 9-month bespoke support program, with potential progression to an Assistant Practitioner role (Scale G) upon successful completion.
