My client, a leading financial institution, are looking to hire a lawyer with strong experience in advising on financial crime and sanctions to join the Sanctions team in a senior position. The successful candidate will be working in a tight knit team and be embedded in the business as a subject matter expert.

The role involves advising on sanctions-related risks, providing recommendations on customers and transactions from a sanctions perspective and supporting Compliance and other relevant business lines through guidance and training, drafting and providing sanctions regulatory reporting. This role is ideal for a contentious or non-contentious lawyer looking to move into a business facing role which offers a high level of responsibility and support.

Skills required:
  • Qualified lawyer with 3+ years PQE gained in-house or in private practice.
  • Experience advising on regulatory matters in relation to financial crime or sanctions.
  • UK experience is essential for this role.
  • Experience of working with senior stakeholders across the organisation would be advantageous.
