The role of the Area Sales Manager Waterproofing and Flat Roofing/ EPDM systems will involve:
- Field sales role selling a distributed range of roof waterproofing systems and reinforced EPDM membranes
- Selling into roofing contractors and installers
- Typically small to medium sized commercial refurbishment projects
- Project sizes from £10,000-£100,000 (200m2-1000m2) with £2m revenue (10% typical growth target)
- Recruit a minimum of 5 new contractors per quarter with £10,000 spend per annum
- Inheriting an area that has been in decline and needs a driven salesperson and relationship builder to get around all of the SRI contractor installers on the patch and build within them with projects and upselling
- Reinvigorating dormant accounts and developing new accounts through cold calling
- Calculate material costings on all projects under 100m2
- 4 days on the road and 1 day admin per week, with KPIs to be met
- Focus on managing and developing both new and existing roofing contractor relationships
- Attend trade shows and seminars when required
The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager Waterproofing and Flat Roofing/ EPDM systems with:
- Must have a proven field sales track record within the construction industry
- Must have sold to contractors, ideally waterproofing or roofing associated contractors
- Flat roofing / single ply or waterproofing sales experience not essential but advantageous
- Autonomous, but still a team player
- Contacts within roofing contractors/ roofing installers may be advantageous
- High level of energy and strong commercial acumen
- On the up hungry salesperson in the construction industry
- Can handle quotations, take offs and CRM systems
- Happy to get up on a ladder onto a roof
- Great at account management, but hungry to bring in new SRI contractors
- Can work well with sales and technical team, especially Key Account Manager and Sales Director
- Well organised and works methodically
