Purpose of the role: As Energy Project Manager, you will be responsible for developing and delivering Stonegate Property team’s energy efficiency and carbon reduction programme. Working with internal and external stakeholders, you will define a long-term improvement pathway, and will establish and gain approval for annual improvement milestones and objectives. The emphasis on the role will be on refit, retrofit and maintenance standards, with a keen focus on financial return as well as environmental benefits. The Energy Project Manager will pilot, prove and maximize the use of established and innovative technology to push energy improvement, and be accountable for planning and project managing the implementation of programmes to hit pre-agreed improvement targets. The role will ensure that Stonegate complies with all statutory energy regulations such as the Energy Savings Opportunities Scheme (ESOS) and its ongoing annual action plan and reporting requirements, as well as to help champion technical standards (mechanical & electrical) and support safe working practices. You will provide effective supplier relationship management (SRM) to ensure that ‘energy efficiency’ delivery partners perform in accordance with Stonegate’s SRM delivery framework. Duties & Responsibiities: Management & Delivery of Energy efficiency projects across the Group: Inspiring and motivating others to drive improvements in all aspects of performance improvement. Influencing colleagues: Working with internal and external technical subject matter experts. Influencing internal colleagues within Property, Finance & Operations. Committed to CPD in their own career. Oversight, Communications & Engagement: Working with Finance (inc. FP&A) on improvement targets & benefit tracking. Acting as a developing subject matter expert and point of contact internally on energy efficiency matters. Internal impact: Internally, being a force for change within Property and sound service delivery partner for Finance & Operations. External Impact: Drive a step change in discipline and service delivery from our partners. Project Management, Compliance, Governance & Risk Management: Ensuring compliance with all appropriate data and energy policies and technical standards and regulations. Developing stakeholder relationships across the structure: Including Property, Format, Operations as well as direct counterparts and peers across the business units. Managing matrix team performance: Driving continuous improvement via scheduled reviews and lessons learned. Influence and build relationships: With peers across Property and the wider business to achieve desired objectives Skills, experiene & qualifications: Working knowledge of the main aspects of energy efficiency and plant/equipment technical standards. Financial acumen. Project management skills and experience. Experience in managing suppliers – with some complexity and regulations. General Property knowledge. Strong IT aptitude shown through use of standard products. Ability to manage data, monitoring and performance validation (Monitoring and Targeting). Highly motivated. An interest in the environment. Excellent relationship management, planning, presentation and influencing skills. Experience in balancing & managing multiple internal stakeholders in the development and execution of plans or programmes. Demonstrated capability for problem solving, decision making, sound judgement and assertiveness. Able to communicate, engage and energise others (including at a more senior level) across the business.
