THE MISSION As a Full-Stack Engineer, you will join a small, remote team working on backend systems for an exciting, unannounced Multiplayer Action RPG game. Your responsibilities include building game-supporting APIs, features, and web-facing products that interact directly with users. The tech stack includes Node.js, Typescript, MongoDB, React, PostgreSQL, and C++, among others. Collaboration with a front-end engineer is required, and some familiarity with front-end frameworks is preferred. This position is remote and open to applicants worldwide. RESPONSIBILITIES Own the design and implementation of scalable online services. Collaborate with the team to develop backend services for the game. Build web services interacting with blockchain and game servers. Optimize and debug complex, multi-service systems. Write robust, maintainable code. REQUIREMENTS Extensive knowledge of Node.js and its strengths and weaknesses. Experience architecting scalable Node.js applications. Strong skills in JavaScript (ES6/ES7), TypeScript, and programming fundamentals. Problem-solving abilities. Experience with AWS and Docker. Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, especially MongoDB and PostgreSQL. Some familiarity with C++. A passion for games! DESIRABLE Experience in game development.
