ELSA - Emotional Literacy Support Assistant

ELSA – Emotional Literacy Support Assistant | About the Role: As an ELSA, you will work closely with students to support their emotional development and provide one-to-one or small group interventions for children experiencing emotional, social, or behavioural challenges. You will help students build their self-esteem, manage emotions, and improve their social skills, contributing to a positive and nurturing learning environment in Farnborough. ELSA – Emotional Literacy Support Assistant | Key Responsibilities: Provide emotional and social support to individual students or small groups Deliver tailored ELSA interventions to enhance emotional well-being and resilience Work collaboratively with class teachers and SENCO to track and assess student progress Support students with developing key skills in emotional regulation, communication, and social interaction Liaise with parents, carers, and outside agencies to ensure the best possible support for students ELSA – Emotional Literacy Support Assistant | About You: Experience working with children in a school setting (ideally as an ELSA or in a similar role) Strong understanding of child development and emotional literacy Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to supporting students\’ well-being ELSA training (or willingness to complete it) is desirable but not essential ELSA – Emotional Literacy Support Assistant | Why Join Us: A supportive and welcoming school environment Opportunities for professional development and training A chance to make a real difference in students\’ emotional and social development If you are passionate about helping children thrive emotionally and socially, we would love to hear from you.
