Quantity Surveyor

The Role – Quantity Surveyor (Groundworks / Civils): Reporting to senior management and working closely with project teams, you’ll be responsible for the commercial management of groundworks and civils packages across multiple sites. Key Responsibilities: * Prepare and manage accurate costings for groundwork and civils projects. * Measure and value works, including site visits and valuations. * Prepare and issue subcontractor enquiries, review quotations, and place orders. * Manage subcontractor accounts from procurement to final account. * Support monthly CVRs (Cost Value Reconciliations) and forecasting. * Work with site teams to monitor progress and ensure commercial targets are met. * Ensure compliance with contractual terms and risk management processes. What We’re Looking For: * Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveyor role within the groundworks or civils sector. * Solid understanding of earthworks, drainage, foundations, roads, and infrastructure packages. * Strong commercial acumen and contract knowledge (NEC / JCT). * Confident in take-offs, valuations, and managing subcontractor accounts. * Good IT skills, including Excel and QS software . * Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
