We have an exciting opportunity available for a senior Occupational Therapist to join a vibrant and dynamic multidisciplinary international private practice based in London. We deliver OT for children and young people aged 0-19 years, with a variety of difficulties such as sensory processing disorder, developmental delay, Autistic Spectrum Disorders, ADD/ADHD, fine and gross motor difficulties, handwriting problems, school readiness, emotional control and self-regulation difficulties, behaviour and learning difficulties.
Duties:
- Identifying the set of activities and motivations that might help patients work towards their goals. Preparing a home programme/sensory diet.
- Helping children with disabilities perform different activities such as dressing, eating and walking.
- Educating the patients’ families and friends about the right way to accommodate and care for them.
- Recommending special equipment and instructing patients on how to use the equipment.
- Documenting and assessing the patient’s activities and progress, as well as creating review reports.
- Seeing up to 7 children a day (45mins sessions).
Successful applicants must have:
- Minimum 5 years of paediatric experience
- HCPC Registration
- Passion and dedication for working with children.
- Experience in using a Sensory Integration treatment approach.
- Good communication skills and a high degree of professionalism.
