Vehicle Risk and Reliability Engineer (Electrical)

Expleo is looking for a Vehicle Risk and Reliability Engineer (Electrical) to support one of our key clients at their state-of-the-art facility in Uttoxeter. This role is critical in assessing and enhancing the safety, reliability, and performance of vehicle electrical systems through expert FMEA and problem-solving methodologies. Key Responsibilities: * Conduct in-depth FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) on vehicle systems to assess risks and preempt potential issues. * Perform risk assessments to evaluate severity, occurrence, and detection ratings for electrical system components. * Apply structured 8D problem-solving to identify root causes and implement long-term corrective actions. * Lead and facilitate cross-functional FMEA workshops involving design, manufacturing, and quality teams. * Maintain clear, detailed documentation of FMEA analyses and risk reviews. * Monitor and refine risk management processes to align with the latest industry best practices. * Provide hands-on technical guidance across engineering functions. * Stay current with advancements in reliability engineering and automotive compliance standards. Ideal Candidate Profile: * Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related discipline (Master\’s desirable). * Solid experience in automotive FMEA, risk assessments, and electrical system analysis. * Skilled in FMEA software tools (e.g., APIS IQ, PTC Windchill, etc.). * Strong grasp of 8D methodologies and structured problem-solving. * Detail-driven, with excellent analytical and decision-making skills. * Confident communicator who thrives in cross-functional teams. 📩 Ready to Apply?
