SQL DBA (AWS) required to join our client on an initial 8-month contract. You’ll be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing SQL Server databases in an AWS Cloud environment. This role is hybrid working (3 days in office). You’ll work closely with development and infrastructure teams to ensure high availability, security, and performance of critical systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Database administration, performance tuning, and optimization
- Managing backups, disaster recovery, and high availability solutions
- Ensuring database security and compliance with industry standards
- Supporting database migrations and upgrades
- Troubleshooting and resolving database issues efficiently
- Proven experience as a SQL Server DBA
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server 2016+
- Essential - Familiarity with working with SQL within AWS cloud environment looking for strong production experience with RDS AWS SQL Server
- Experience with performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization
- Experience working in an ITIL-driven environment
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
London (Hybrid – mix of remote & onsite)
