About the role
The position will be within the busy Property and Casualty claims team. The role is for a mid to senior technical claims handler. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a caseload of global casualty claims and providing assistance to the Casualty Advocate and Head of Specialty P&C as well as colleagues on the team.
About you
You should have extensive casualty claims experience, preferably in the London Market, with a strong understanding of the legal principles of insurance. Claims will emanate from General Liability, Product Recall, Contingency, A&H and various other associated sources. You should be able to quickly build an understanding of a clientβs business issues, insurance needs and expectations and use that knowledge in the management of their claims. You will need to have the ability to prepare and interpret claims experiences and bordereaux. The role will require detailed understanding of direct and Facultative insurance programmes and how complex shared and layers programmes operate. You will be expected to consult with placing brokers, underwriters and clients on their claims experience and their overall insurance needs, whilst representing Lockton in the highest professional manner. Professional qualification desirable.
