About the Role

A unique opportunity for a tax professional who is ready to shift gears into tax technology consulting. This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in tax compliance or advisory who now wants to play a key part in digitising tax functions through leading technologies. The successful candidate will support the implementation of both in-house tax tools and third-party platforms across a range of complex projects for global clients. You’ll be part of a collaborative team delivering tax transformation programmes, automating processes, and helping clients gain greater visibility and control over their tax operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery and configuration of tax technology tools across corporate tax, indirect tax, and reporting functions.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to translate tax requirements into digital solutions.
  • Assist with client workshops, data analysis, system testing, and user training.
  • Help implement proprietary and third-party software (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Alteryx, OneSource, Vertex).
  • Analyse current client tax processes and identify opportunities for improvement and automation.
  • Contribute to project planning, documentation, and change management activities.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong grounding in UK or international tax (corporate, indirect, or compliance).
  • Background in practice or in-house tax environments.
  • A genuine interest in technology and its application to tax operations.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills; able to bridge the gap between tax and tech.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Excel, Power BI, Alteryx, or similar software is advantageous.
  • Exposure to ERP systems or tax engines (e.g. SAP, Oracle, OneSource, Vertex) is beneficial but not essential.
