Class 1 HGV Driver

Overview

Consistent work with steady, ongoing assignments all year round. This is a trunking to distribution centres role with no multidrop or handball and regular day shifts.

Shifts are available 24/7 with flexible start times from 04:00 to 07:00. Peak pay rates apply Aug–Nov, with additional rates for overtime and weekends. A monthly bonus is paid for every hour worked. 28 days of paid holiday per year (full-time as applicable).

Electronic timesheets are submitted electronically for ease and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform trunking work to regional distribution centres; no handball back on the bay.
• Maintain reliable, on-time delivery schedules for a trusted employer.
• Operate as part of a regular day-shift team and adhere to client and legal requirements.

Qualifications

• At least 12 months of experience driving a Class 1 (C+E) vehicle.
• Valid Category C+E licence, Digital Tachograph card, and CPC qualification.
• DR10/CD10/IN10 endorsements are not accepted; no more than 6 penalty points on licence.

Pay, Benefits and Pay Options

• Pay rate: £16.90 per hour (PAYE) or £21.63 per hour (via Umbrella).
• Overtime: £24.60 per hour after 48 hours; weekends £22.20 per hour.
• Monthly bonus: £1.00 per hour worked (paid monthly).
• Paid holidays: 28 days per year (pro rata for part-time PAYE work).
• Payment options: weekly or monthly pay.
• Electronic timesheets for easier submission of hours.

Additional Information

This position is suitable for experienced HGV Drivers, LGV Drivers, Lorry Drivers, and Truck Drivers, and is based in the Nottingham area (including surrounding areas such as Newark and Grantham).
