Fantastic opportunity for an established Financial Controller or Finance Manager to join an ambitious and growing SaaS business on a part-time basis. As they scale, they are looking for a commercially minded Financial Controller to oversee the company’s financial management and provide strategic financial guidance to help drive sustainable growth. You will collaborate closely with the Board and senior leadership to ensure financial integrity while aligning financial strategies with the company’s goals.
The role includes:
- Tracking and analysing key KPIs.
- Partnering with leadership on pricing models, unit economics, and growth forecasts.
- Providing financial modelling, support for any fundraising and board reporting.
- Preparing and presenting monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Leading the budgeting process, offering variance analysis and recommending opportunities for cost optimization and revenue growth.
- Monitoring cash flow to maintain liquidity and creating short- and long-term cash flow forecasts.
- Collaborating with senior leadership to develop and implement financial strategies aligned with our goals and business objectives.
- Ensuring compliance with tax regulations, managing annual audits, and staying up to date with evolving financial regulations and best practices.
- Managing accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accurate and timely payments and collections.
- Proficient in running monthly payroll, including all regular processes, staff benefits and statutory deductions as necessary.
- Identifying and implementing cost-saving measures to improve profitability.
- Optimizing financial systems and reporting tools for greater efficiency and accuracy.
- Delivering clear, actionable financial reports to stakeholders and board members.
- Communicating complex financial data to enable informed, growth-oriented decisions across teams.
- Working closely with the Executive team to evaluate the operating.
The Candidate:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified with significant post qualified experience.
- Qualified by experience will also be considered with sector relevant and 10 years+ experience.
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller, Head of Finance or Senior Finance Manager ideally from a SaaS or IT/Tech business.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate with Board, Senior Leadership teams and multiple departments.
- Strong knowledge of Excel and (Xero preferable).
- A-Z accounting experience covering budgeting, forecasting and analysis.
