Mechanical Maintenance & Repair Engineer

Maintenance Engineer Willand | £30,000 – £34,000 per annum | Full-Time | Monday – Friday | 40 hours per week Acorn by Synergie is recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business in Willand, seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their on-site engineering team. This is a great opportunity to secure a permanent days-based role with regular working hours and excellent overtime rates. Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 40-hour week. Overtime available: Weekday OT at flat rate. Saturday OT at time and a half. Sunday OT at double time. Key Responsibilities: Carry out routine and preventative maintenance on a range of factory equipment, including conveyors, fans, bearings, chains, and sprockets. Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults quickly and efficiently. Conduct repairs and parts replacements to minimise downtime. Support the installation and commissioning of new machinery. Maintain accurate records of maintenance work. Provide occasional training and support to other team members. What We\’re Looking For: Minimum 3 years\’ experience in a mechanical maintenance or engineering role. Strong hands-on mechanical skills, ideally in a medium to heavy industrial setting. Familiarity with conveyors and moving machinery components. Relevant mechanical engineering qualifications are highly desirable but not essential.
