37.5 Hours per Week – Monday to Thursday 08:30 to 17:00, Friday 08:30 to 15:30

We are seeking a Product Owner and Head of R&D for an industry-leading provider of laboratory equipment. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to play an integral part during an exciting period of company growth.

The ideal candidate will hold a degree (or equivalent) in electronics, computer science, biomedical engineering, or a related field, with experience in a product ownership role. Experience leading multidisciplinary R&D teams is essential. Candidates from regulated industries are encouraged to apply.

Role Responsibilities:

Product Owner:

• Maintain and manage a prioritized product backlog for software and hardware features
• Work with internal teams and customers to define user stories and product specifications
• Define and communicate product vision
• Act as the bridge between R&D, sales, operations, and support
• Drive the product roadmap, prioritizing features and improvements based on impact and feasibility
• Lead product validation and testing
• Support regulatory and quality documentation

Head of R&D:

• Manage a multidisciplinary R&D team of 5, covering software, firmware, and hardware
• Oversee product development from prototyping, validation, to release

Candidate Requirements:

• Hold a degree (or equivalent) in electronics, computer science, biomedical engineering, or a similar field
