Business Analyst – FinTech / Payments

Location: Hybrid | Contract | Inside IR35

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst with strong FinTech experience to join a fast-paced digital transformation programme. The ideal candidate will have deep exposure to payment systems and payments messaging protocols (e.g. SWIFT, ISO 20022, BACS, CHAPS, Faster Payments).

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather, define, and document business and technical requirements related to payment systems and financial messaging.
• Work closely with product, engineering, and compliance teams to ensure payment processes meet regulatory and operational standards.
• Analyse end-to-end payment workflows and identify optimisation opportunities.
• Translate business needs into functional specifications and user stories.
• Support testing and validation of payment solutions.

Essential Skills:

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst in the FinTech or financial services sector.
• Strong knowledge of payment systems and messaging standards.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, regulated environment
