Interim Management Accountant in Salford

Accountable Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a well-established and growing UK group in Manchester City Centre who are looking to appoint 2 x Interim Management Accountants on an initial 6-month contract.
These are broad, hands-on roles that would suit qualified or QBE accountants with solid management accounts experience, particularly around fixed asset accounting, cost controls, and overheads analysis.

Salary/benefits

* £250 – £400 per day (Inside IR35)
* 6-month contract
* Hybrid working – 3 days a week in the Manchester office

Job Duties

* Produce timely and accurate monthly management accounts
* Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset register across multiple entities
* Analyse and report on overheads, fixed and controllable costs, highlighting key variances
* Assist with forecasting and budgeting activities across cost centres
* Support month-end close process, including journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations
* Prepare and present financial performance reports to senior stakeholders
* Work with non-finance budget holders to improve cost visibility and control
* Assist with internal controls improvements and audit support as needed

Ideal experience

* Qualified or QBE accountant with experience in management accounting
* Strong understanding of fixed asset accounting, cost control and variance analysis
* Proficient in Excel and confident working with ERP systems
* Hands-on and detail-oriented, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
* Strong communication skills – comfortable working cross-functionally with operations and budget owners
* Previous experience in a large, multi-entity environment is desirable
