Position Overview
The Depot Operations Manager is a vital role within our group, responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our Stoke-on-Trent depot. This role is crucial to the continual improvement of processes and systems, driving the depot to its full potential on a day-to-day basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stock Management: Manage the stock control of both new products and the hire fleet, including:
- Analysing product lines to determine high-performing and potential growth areas
- Maintaining accurate stock records
- Overseeing goods-in process, including washing and repair assessments
- Addressing customer requests promptly and professionally
- Resolving customer concerns and complaints raised by the sales team
- Exceeding customer expectations through exceptional performance
- Communicating with the Client Operations Department to ensure timely and accurate availability of stock for customer orders
- Ensure drivers meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Collaborate with the transport team at head office to coordinate vehicles
- Providing work cover planning for holidays and sickness
- Training, developing, and motivating staff
- Recognising and providing feedback on individual performance
- Fostering a positive and efficient team attitude
- Ensure compliance with Quality, Health & Safety standards, and industry legislation
- Adhere to Conquip's processes and procedures
- Consistently meet workflow requirements from head office
