All Square Recruitment are working with an established and growing manufacturer in Chelmsford to recruit a Process & Production Engineer to join their engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on engineer with a background in manufacturing and continuous improvement to make a real impact on production performance, processes, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support continuous improvement (CI) projects across production processes, layout, and workflow.
- Develop, update and manage work instructions and production documentation.
- Assist with quality investigations, including root cause analysis and 8D/PRR/ECR reports.
- Support tooling setup for new and existing products.
- Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to introduce new processes and products.
- Deliver training and support to shop floor teams during production builds and process changes.
- Apply Lean manufacturing and 5S principles across the shop floor.
Key Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
- Previous experience in a process or production engineering role in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong understanding of Lean tools, CI methods, and shop floor operations.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work across departments.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to drive improvements independently.
