Job Summary: We are currently representing a role on behalf of our client based in the East Yorkshire region. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Indirect Procurement team of an industry leading business. This opportunity has now become available after strategic changes in the Group procurement team and they now require a new Indirect Buyer.
In this role the successful candidate will support the indirect sourcing activities and work collaboratively with stakeholders across the business managing a complex and varied spend category.
Main Duties:
- Manage and renegotiate commercial contracts, including new contract implementation.
- Issue and manage tenders and RFQs, including supplier analysis and selection.
- Develop sourcing strategies and carry out commercial analysis in alignment with business goals.
- Lead supplier onboarding, site visits, and ensure supplier alignment with company values.
- Support stakeholder requirements, negotiate terms, and monitor supplier capabilities to underpin growth.
Person Specification:
- Basic knowledge of contract law and commercial agreements.
- Experience managing indirect spend across categories such as IT services, facilities management, MRO, CAPEX and transport.
- CIPS qualified or studying towards.
