The Role

As Project Director, you will take ownership of projects from early-stage design through to construction and handover. You’ll act as the client lead, managing complex stakeholder interfaces, consultant teams, commercial structures, procurement processes and governance procedures. This is a UK-wide role with a base in either Harrogate or London.

  • Lead project governance, manage financial and design outputs, and ensure stakeholder reporting.
  • Oversee consultant appointments and manage design to achieve key ESG and regulatory standards.
  • Negotiate and procure contracts, including main contractors and key suppliers.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (Development, ESG, Commercial, Operations) throughout the lifecycle.
  • Maintain high-quality handovers and support transition into operational management.

Skills needed

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Working knowledge of the client-side delivery of complex residential developments, preferably BtR or PBSA.
  • Experience managing JCT Design & Build contracts and negotiating procurement strategies.
  • Strong communication, reporting, and leadership skills with a collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to manage risk, stakeholder expectations and internal approval processes.
