Outstanding opportunity to join this global enterprise and famous brand within the ‘magic circle’ of the legal sector. Subsequent to a recent merger, this business is going through a major transformation including the harmonization of its finance applications and their data. The company is focused on data quality and data integrity and we’re looking for someone to own this globally from a finance perspective as a subject matter expert.
You’ll be responsible for driving the finance data strategy to improve data accuracy as well as leading the integration with Power BI for future reporting. You’ll need to be passionate about data and realising its value, with strong data analysis experience (specifically finance data e.g. P&L, time & billing) combined with excellent communications and stakeholder engagement skills to lead change.
This role will suit someone from a finance/accounting background (with a technical element) such as Senior Systems Accountant or someone from a pure technology background, if specialised in finance systems and data.
The following experience is essential:
- In depth knowledge of finance data ideally within professional services or consulting environments
- Extensive experience of improving data quality & integrity and leading data strategy
- Extensive data analysis, data governance & data structuring experience
- Extensive SQL and SQL Query Analyzer skills
- Experience with data governance technologies like Purview or Collibra
- Experience with Power BI
- Outstanding stakeholder management and communications skills
- Ability to champion the importance of data quality cross functionally
- A background in finance systems either from a technology or accounting perspective
- Experience working in complex, global enterprise environments
- A willingness to work in the office (City) 3 days per week
£85k-£92k + bonus + benefits. City of London (60%) & remote (40%).
